Welcome to the heliomedia training site. We hope you will enjoy following the Adobe Photoshop tutorial posted here. We have tried to make it as comprehensive as possible, highlighting truly useful applications of the program such as efficient web design and color correction; while briefly visiting other topics such as filters. We have also tried to maintain an efficient on-screen learning experience, choosing easy-to-read fonts and colors. If you have a personal stylesheet that takes precedence over the web page's we recommend using Verdana (10 or 12 point) as the font of choice for paragraphs. Most of the formatting of these pages was accomplished through the application of Cascading Style Sheets. If you do not see the site in color (green background with white body text), please enable stylesheets in your browser. Please note that browser testing was made for version 6 browsers: Opera, Netscape and Explorer on PC, as well as Internet Explorer 5.1 for Macintosh. Netscape version 4.x browsers will render unnecessary paragraph breaks where the green color emphasis tag is used. Please acquire the book: Real World Photoshop
7 For many desktop publishers, photographers, illustrators, designers,
prepress houses, and service bureaus, Adobe Photoshop is the tool of choice
when preparing images for print or the Web. Version 6.0 promises more
power, enhanced color management, new workflow tools, increased precision
and control abilities, and more. If you already have Real World Photoshop 6, or find it at a discounted price, please feel free to buy the previous edition rather than the most recent one. Since our class is an introductory one, most of the material we will need is common to both editions.
